ViewsThe 2024 – 2025 Winter Season is now behind us, but it is still fresh in our minds. The season had a slow start and then it took off! We received 70 inches of snow in December. The two months that were over the top were January and February. The total snowfall for January was 96 inches and the total snowfall for February was 101 inches! The totals are impressive, but the best part was the consistent cold temperatures that kept the snow conditions perfect. March brought us 53 inches of snowfall and April is currently sitting at 19 inches. Our season total is 366 inches of snowfall! I would like to thank all of the Smuggs employees for all their hard work to make this past season the best it could be! I would also like to thank all of our guests for visiting us and being a part of the Smuggs Family. I know that I’m already looking forward to November, 28th when we start the 2025 – 2026 Winter Season!

It’s even spitting snow at the higher elevations. Tomorrow could be a repeat of that scenario. It was noteworthy to see a certain trio of skiers: guitarist/bassist/mandolinist Rudy Dauth (Smuggs House Band, Chad Hollister band, etc), keyboardist Steve “Punque” Vance (Smuggs House Band alum, Showtime co-creator, Hoopla, etc) and woodwinds player Chris Peterman (Eight02, Chad Hollister band, etc). Alas, today was my last day on the slopes this season. But, YOU have one more day… SUNDAY, APRIL 13th is the last day of the 2024-2025 Winter Season. Ski you in December.

ViewsWe received an inch of new snow today and 10 inches in the past 3 days. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies with snow showers with 1 to 3 inches of accumulation possible on top and a chance of mix at the base, a high of 38 degrees at the base, and 32 degrees at higher elevations. The last day of lift operations this season is Sunday, April 13th. For Closing Weekend we plan to have both the Madonna 1 Lift and Sterling Lift operating. Looks like Spring skiing on Sunday with partly sunny skies, a high of 47 degrees at the base, and 43 degrees at the higher elevations. We plan to have 42 trails open with terrain for intermediates and experts only. 11 trails will be groomed for tomorrow, including Smugglers’ Alley, Thomke’s, and Snake Bite for a total of 52 acres of freshly groomed terrain. The trails on Madonna were groomed early this week and will not be groomed again tonight. Surface conditions are variable and machine groomed with average base depths of 12 to 50 inches.
