  1. Girl I work with is going in for this surgery soon, don’t think ill show her this vid though.

  2. look in to cryosurgery. they go in and freeze the nerve instead of removing nerve.

  3. I’m suppose to get anesthetic shot into the nerve, they said that it would probably work, I really don’t want to have to get the nerve removed, that looks insane!

  4. Why are you “terrified”?
I´m terrifeid for crashing with an aeroplane – not from undergoing some minor shitsurgery, done everyday in the world. Cryo and injections DO NOT work in the longrun, they are just temporay pain-relief. I have had this surgery done in both feet = no problem wse.

  5. how do you feel?.. did they tell you that you can run and work out on it after its healed?..

how long is the healing process?

i am getting symptoms of this mortons and really pissed off lol.. such a ridiculous injury im mad

  6. See you doctor; confirm the diagnosis; can try local steroid and orthosis before surgery

  7. You are right. I do not encourage patient to have operation. I have performed only 3 such operations over 6 years. I try local steroid and orthosis on first instance and surger for onlr refractory cases

  8. Get the assessment by a surgeon. There are alternative ways of treating Morton’s

  9. That’s fine. It is a benign condition and surger is indicated for unrelented pain

  10. I cann’t help it. Public hospital runs on rationalisation. Morton’s is low on priority

  11. It is a soft tissue surgery. I normally let my patient back in work force within 3 weeks. Some residual symptom may persist for 2-3 months

  12. I’ve always had this tingling numbness feeling in my 4th toe on both of my feet, especially if I touch it. These two toes are so sensitive I can’t stand touching them or let them rub against anything else so I always wear shoes or slippers. What do you think my problem is?

  13. I had this procedure done 14 yrs ago, and no lasting effects. Non-surgical treatments did not work, and 3 doctors couldn’t figure out why I had the pain. Finally a specialist at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit knew exactly what my trouble was caused by, and could “pinch” it perfectly to show his interns where they were going wrong. Thank you for posting this video. The surgeon showed us the nerve he cut out of my foot afterward, because it was very large…much larger than in this video.

  14. I was 30 when I had it done…read my post below. Turned out great! Very glad i had it done. And I only wore crutches a couple of weeks..then I went right back to dancing in a community theatre production within a month. No prob.
