I made this video with my dad, Robert Gallner (call him Bob), who is a survivor of Stage IV Renal Cell Carcinoma. He discusses his experience with the disease beginning with his first diagnosis, through the removal of several tumors and a kidney, Interleukin-2 (IL-2) therapy, and remission. He also shares insight on how to achieve inner peace and spirituality with techniques like visualization and meditation to remain positive through this painstaking process and eliminate fear. Update: Bob was diagnosed with RCC again in his liver and had major surgery after the making of this video. The surgery went really well and he is recovering wonderfully, a true survivor. These past few years have been nerve racking at times but I can honestly say my father’s cancer has brought our whole family together and we have never been closer or had so much fun together! Who are we to say what is good or bad? See the good in every situation and your life will be bliss. Circumstances do not matter. Only your state of being matters. Cancer is a challenge, but it is one we can overcome. give hope to my grandfather!!!
Hey Bob, This is just what the “Doctor” ordered. I was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (more details in the email I sent you) This helped me sooooo much. It’s important to hear from others in similar situations. Using this video as an inspiration for me & others to move forward. I’m going to use the “FORCE” instead of roman soldiers. Thank you again Ed
please advise if you had predominant clear cell histology or non clear cell histology, you would know this from the pathology reports

That is a gladiator not a roman soldier.
I wished my Dad would speak english to watch this. He was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer 3 days ago. We are all so shattered, as they say they can´t remove the tumor. We´re actually waiting for a second medical opinion. Bless your Dad, he´s a fighter, and so is mine.
Hi, I too am exactly the same and went through five weeks of IL2 but I only had partial response….. now I have cancer in my lymph gland and two new ones on my lung…. you were very lucky. All the time during the treatment I stayed positive and really believed the IL2 would get rid of it. Im 44 years old and am looking for answers. Why does this only work on some and not all of us as surely RCC grade 4 is all the same???
Congrates to you
Regards
Jenny
guys, google Metabolic Therapy , b-17, laetrile. Life saving!
Thanks for sharing your story, Bob. I am a kidney cancer survivor too, and also a husband of a wife who got diagnosed with breast cancer. I had my left kidney removed through a radical laparoscopic nephrectomy.
What i don’t understand, Bob – how on earth could they have missed the second mass (abdominal mass)? I mean 6 cm is large, so how could they possibly have missed that?
Anyway, I’m glad that you made it. Stay healthy!
remarkable, simply remarkable!
Thank you.

THANK YOU BOB! Your video is just what I need right now. I am 5 days away from one year since having my left kidney removed with a T3-a softball sized tumor attached. A ct scan last week found a marble sized 5mm node on the outside of my left lung and on my left renal vein stub. The needle biopsy is 2 days from now on the lung node will probably come back RCC. Your video renews my hope and curbs my dreaded feelings of mortality. YOU INSPIRE ME TO FIGHT! Thank you and good luck to you!!!
Bob you are the man! I just had my a partial kidney removal last week and found it was renal cell. Looking forward to the unknown is scary, but I appreciate your never give up attitude. Thank you for the inspiration and thank you Alex for putting this up.

2007, I had renal cell carcinoma stage 1 & kidney removal. I am amazed you conquered stage 4. Your visualization technique is awesome!!! Before my hysterectomy, I meditated for 1 hr a day telling myself how happy I will be . I was happy with no pain when I woke up. My Dr. & I were shocked. 2010,I had a lobectomy with horrible outcome. Now, I use visualization to keep myself upbeat. You truly are the best example of what can happen when applying that strategy. You beat all odds!! Awesome!!
Bob I’m having a hard time understanding the treatment you went in the hospital for for the 14 treatments. I’m doing a paper on how cancer isdiagnosed and treatement. Thank you….
Bob, I am a stage IV cancer survivor ( six weeks ago I was a chemo patient). Your video was inspirational. So sorry you had to experience so much suffering but so happy you were courageous enough to keep going.
I commented 10 months ago on this video that my Dad just got diagnosed and have been told he´s inoperable. We got a second medical opinion, my Dad underwent two severe surgeries and is doin´ amazingly well now! To anyone afflicted: See a Kidney Cancer SPECIALIST, not only a general oncologist! Renal cancer is SO different to other sorts of cancer. If my Dad didn´t he would have died within three months we´ve been told. Don´t let them give you up and seek the RIGHT help!
@kmbkind GOd bless your survival. My mom was just diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and im very sad. We are afraid of the chemo but i guess its necessary. Im happy that you pulled through though.
